Rahm lurking, Dunne leading at Spanish Open

European Tour Open de Espana leaderboard http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2018/tournamentid=2018032/leaderboard/index.html#/leaderboard

With round 3 in the books at the Spanish Open in Madrid, big Jon Rahm currently ranked at #4 in the world has just added a -6 66 to earlier rounds of 67 68 to get to -15.

Afterwords Rahm had this to say " This was my best of the week, but I wish I could make a few more putts, these are tricky greens to read. To win this event as a professional would be the best of my 5 wins. To join the likes of Sergio, Jose Maria and Seve would be such an honour"

He and fellow Spaniard Nacho Elvira ( 68 66 66 -16) are chasing rising young Irish star Paul Dunne who has been leading from the get go with 66 65 68 -17. Dunne is ranked #76.

Elvira and Dunne have just finished, they both made bogey's at the par 3 17th, and both birdied the par 5 18th. So they will be paired again tomorrow in the final round with Dunne in the lead by one shot.

Rahm will be paired with a young Swede, Henric Sturehed 67 68 66 -15 who is having the week of his golfing career, and with the two Spaniards right in contention they are guaranteed of another huge gallery in sunny Madrid.
