Down in Duluth Georgia, Stephen Ames has opened his title defence of this Mitsubishi Electric Classic at windy TPC Sugarloaf, with a -1 71, T21, 4 birdies on his front for 32, but 3 bogey's on the back for 39.
Rod Spittle was one better T16 -2 70. The leader with -7 65 is Jay Haas.
With an ugly weather forecast including 1 1/2 inches of rain overnight Sunday and the threat of lightning, tournament officials decided to play 36, both the second and final rounds today.
