Pernilla Lindberg beats Inbee Park to win ANA Inspiration

LPGA Tour ANA Inspiration leaderboard http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/ana-inspiration/leaderboard

It took 8 playoff holes, including the 18th five times, but minutes ago, this morning, on the par 4 10th for the second time Pernilla Lindberg made a 20 footer for birdie 3, then Inbee Park missed hers from 12 feet to give Lindberg her first LPGA win, and a major at that !

Both women had their chances to win before that, in particular the hole before, when both missed from inside 8 feet.

Lindberg had her family led by mum and dad greenside to celebrate her win, and remember she led from wire to wire, so this was well deserved.

previous : Pernilla Lindberg shot 71, but Inbee Park and Jennifer Song shot 67's to catch her at -15, so all three began a sudden death playoff, late yesterday afternoon at the ANA Inspiration.

They played the 18th 4 times, Song dropped out at the third with a par to birdies for Lindberg and Park.

It was too dark to continue, so they will return at 8am (PST) to settle the championship.

Both Jessica Korda (66) and Ariya Jutanugarn (65) finished a shot out of the playoff at -14

Brooke Henderson's final tally, 70 75 70 71 -2 T48, Alena Sharp 71 68 75 70 -4 T37
