Today has brought ideal weather at this Golf Club Milano and the field are tearing it apart. It's a real horse race at the top.
Austin Connelly shot -6 65 to finish off a brilliant week of golf that was only marred by his back nine on Saturday where he made 3 bogey's on his way to 38. He only made 5 bogey's all week to go with 19 birdies. He has finished at -14 and will get a great paycheck.
As for the leaders, there are 17 players 4 shots or less from the lead. England's Ross Fisher has 7 birdies so far as does Aussie Marcus Fraser and they are on their back nine at -19 playing the 13th.
The leading 8 players today are a combined -37 so far. Thailand's star Kiradech Aphibarnrat opened with 4 straight birdies and has played his front nine in 32 shots to sit -18 so watch for him with 9 holes to play.
England's Matt Wallace is also at -18, but is in the last group.
Crowd favourite Francesco Molinari is stalled at -15 as he plays the 11th so he'd better get hot to defend his title.
