Brooke Henderson leads New Zealand Women's Open.. final round suspended

LPGA Tour NZ Women's Open leaderboard http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/mckayson-new-zealand-womens-open/leaderboard

Brooke Henderson birdied 3 of the 6 holes she could play to get to -17, 4 shots clear of the field before bad weather forced officials to postpone play for the day at the New Zealand Women's Open. Play will resume tomorrow to settle who will win the Kiwi's national championship.

She leads a shaky Belen Mozo of Spain and American Brittany Lincicome, both at -13.

Officials sent the field out early but play had to be suspended a couple of times before it was finally called for the day at 5:30p.m by a particularly potent cell of high winds and pouring rain made play impossible.

Local favourite Lydia Ko was -1 at the turn, T9 -9. Alena Sharp is E thru 14 holes -5 total.
