With rounds of 69 67 -8 Graham DeLaet leads a gaggle of Canucks making their 2017-18 season debuts out in Napa California at the Safeway Open.
This is the first tournament in the wrap around part of the year, there are 7 Canadians with Ben Silverman (70 71 -3 T45) and Corey Connors ( 70 69 -5 T23) playing their first PGA Tour events as full members, joining regulars Nick Taylor (71 68 -5 T23), David Hearn (71 72 -1 T66), MacKenzie Hughes (74 74) missed the cut along with Jamie Sadlowski from Alberta.
The headliner is Phil Mickelson who is 69 69 -6 T15, 7 shots behind leader Tyler Duncan 65 66 -13 followed by defending champion Brendan Steele 65 67 -12.
Duncan is in only his 2nd PGA Tour event having qualified from the Web.com.
