USA fights back in fourballs to tie Solheim Cup 8-8

After 2 days and 4 sessions there is nothing between the 2 teams as the US squad fought back in this afternoon's 4balls to win the session 3-1 and tie the event 8-8 going into Sunday's singles

Laura Davies and Melissa Reid never trailed Brittany Lang and Michelle Wie and beat them 4&3 to set the pace early but the Yanks dug in.

Stacy Lewis and Ryann O'Toole were always just a hole ahead and hung on to edge Sandra Gal and Christel Boeljon 2&1

Paula Creamer and Brittany Lincicome won 3&1 over Hjorth and Munoz. Creamer is still unbeaten.

Suzann Pettersen set the crowd crazy with a huge putt to win 16 and square their match with Pressel and Kerr but Morgan made a birdie of her own on 17 and the sides halved 18 in 4's to give the States their 3rd point and the 8-8 tie.

I don't watch a lot of LPGA golf but like the Ryder Cup this is their best week of the year by far..They look great in their matching outfits and the golf overall is compelling.

Even the legend Peter Alyss tweeted this morning " I must say Paula Creamer is rather tasty, I would like to take her for tea and crumpets or something."

So I will post the singles match ups as soon as they are posted for what should be a great Sunday with the States needing just 14 pts to retain the Cup and inclimate weather in the forecast..
