Nationwide tour weather delayed in Georgia..

This is the South Georgia Classic and former fireballer for the Atlanta Braves John Smoltz is a legend down there and is getting a lot of attention with his +2 handicap playing on a sponsor's exemption. He like the rest of the field did not get a full round in. in fact he is at +4 thru 8 holes..

We have 3 Canucks in the field...

Here is the pgatour.com report from Valdosta where there was thunder and lightning flashing around the area for much of the day..
There might be 13 hours of sunlight in a given day this time of year but only four of those hours were spent on the golf course due to dangerous weather during Thursday's first round of the South Georgia Classic presented by First State Bank and Trust Co. Only half of the 156 players in the field made their way onto Kinderlou Forest Golf Club's 7,781-yard, par-72 track. The continuation of the first round will be Friday morning at 7:50 a.m. ET.
