Pairings to watch this afternoon

It's 1pm on a gorgeous sunny day here in Toronto, and I will post this, get outside for a long walk and get back to join you for the back nine.

It will be 85 and sunny today at Augusta, so it's playing long and the greens are getting harder as the day and the foot traffic go on..

Here are the pairings I will be watching for this afternoon.

1.35 Garcia & Cabrera will be speaking Spanish all afternoon.. Cabrera the 2009 champion is capable of a low score, what about El Nino. He has all the shots but he cannot win here putting the way he does.

1.45 Donald & Furyk... talk about 2 craftsmen, I expect both guys to move further up the board.

1.55 Westwood & Schwartzel  .. Lee had a great day to get to -5 yesterday and must do better than keep pace today to make this his first major. Schwartzel was the best player on any tour early this year and it's only a matter of time for this brilliant South African

2.05 Couples and Fowler..  for obvious reasons !! My 2nd fav pairing of the afternoon

2.25  Quiros and Ogilvy.. this Spaniard IS the longest guy in golf and much more. He hung in yesterday and plays the weekend at Augusta for the first time. Just needs a few putts to fall like they did in round 1..

2.35  Choi & Woods ..  a popular Asian pairing....Tiger is no longer the longest, no longer the intimidator, no longer the best. He doesn't win here with talent anymore, he might win with experience, based on this year he may likely again become a non factor.. We will all see soon..

2.45 McIlroy & Day.. Come on both of you, these are my guys this weekend !! They have the wrong guy in the group ahead if he gets it going. They must just get into their own world, do there thing and come what may !!

Back here at 4pm
