With the cut projected at -1 as I write at 545pm est Corey Conners T27 , 70 71 -3 is in for the weekend and 5 shots off the clubhouse lead by Kevin Chappell 71 65 -8 who had a career day, but was pipped at the end of play by Ryan Palmer 68 66 -10.
Joining Corey, Adam Hadwin at 70 -4 continues his fine play, T22nd.
The late Canadian story was Roger Sloan who opened with 74 and was heading home for the weekend at +1 standing on the 13th tee. However the golfing God took over on the par 3 he holed a 60' for birdie, all the way across the green, birdied the par 4 15th, then on the par 3,16th incredibly holed another monster, this from 53' for birdie.
Now he needed to birdie the par 5 18th to make the cut on the number at -1, and yes indeed from 15' right in the middle for an highlight reel 69.
