Connelly the top Canadian in Nova Scotia..

Nova Scotians are reknown for their hospitality, but there are 8 Canadians in the field this week who would like to put off their hospitality until Sunday evening.

The Web.com tour is at the Ashburn GC, playing the Nova Scotia Open. Roger Sloan won it in 2014, he has moved on to the big tour, but Ryan Yip, Ryan Williams, Adam Svensson, Eugene Wong, Brad Fritsch, Cory Renfrew, Taylor Pendrith and Austin Connelly are all trying to emulate him.

updated...  Andrew Landry fired a -7 64 and moved into the lead after the opening round of the Nova Scotia Open aided by seven birdies and an eagle at the Ashburn Golf Club and leads by one over Georgia’s Joss Broadaway and Tennessee’s Peter Malnati.

Edward Loar and Korea’s D.H. Lee share fourth place after posting -5 66’s, while Jorge Fernandez-Valdes and Tyler McCumber are tied for sixth place, three back.

Austin Connelly, who has dual citizenship with both the United States and Canada shot the lowest score among Canadians. The 18-year old amateur shot a -3 68 T8.

Eugene WWong and Adam Svensson shot -1 70, Ryan Yip and Taylor Pendrith E 71, while Brad Fritsch is at +1 72. Ryan Williams had a tough day +6 77.
