Tiger is back...the "other" story at Augusta..

While Jordan Spieth has been just remarkable at this 79th Masters, ushering in a new era in American golf, the hot favourite to ride out all the demons that lurk around Sunday at the Masters with his 4 shot lead, for me the other remarkable story is the return of Tiger Woods, and make no mistake he is back.

After his opening sloppy 73 he has shot solid 69, 63 T5 with Rory, out of contention, but considering where he has come from, the improvement is remarkable.

3 months ago he shot 82 at Phoenix, flubbing, thinning simply chips, spraying the ball like a high handicapper, no confidence in his putter, or any of his game..

Now he is back, shaping his shots right to left with good yardage control on his irons, solid reliable pitching and chipping, and he believes in his putter again. After each round he has gone out and practiced with 1 club, his driver, but he has never been the best off the tee, even when he was winning it all..

He is confident again, he is already a winner this week, and the pressure is now off, I believe he will go out today and shoot 68, to put the finishing touches on his comeback.

He needs to shoot 62 to catch Spieth and that will not happen, but we all need to walk before we can run... He's jogging right now, the running is coming..
