China's Ashun Wu wins the Volvo China Open

European Tour Volvo China Open scoreboard http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2015/tournamentid=2015030/leaderboard/index.html

Ashun Wu has become only the 3rd Chinese winner in the history of the European Tour after Englishman David Howell made a costly three putt bogey on the 72nd hole to shoot E 72 to end up at -8, 1 shot behind. Wu is also the first Chinese player to win a European Tour event on home soil

Wu shot -1 71 -9. The 29 year old, who predominantly plays on the Japan Golf Tour, started the day in a four-way tie for the lead with compatriot Li Hao-tong, France’s defending champion Alex Levy and Howell.,

It is the former Chinese #1's first European Tour win, and gives him a 2 year exemption, so he and his family have some nice decisions to make regarding his new schedule. He will also move inside the world's top 120 from #247.

I'll be on TSN1050 this morning at 8.15 with Lins and Pete's International Sports Report for my regular Sunday morning spot..

Bryan
