Ko misses record... Kim leads ANA Inspiration

LPGA Tour ANA Inspiration scoreboard http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=lpga

First the headline grabber. Lydia Ko missed a chance to break the LPGA Tour record for consecutive rounds under par, closing with a bogey for a +1 73 in the second round of the ANA Inspiration at ever sunny Mission Hills and she is seven shots behind the leader. Ko’s worldwide streak, counting her victory in the Ladies European Tour’s New Zealand Women’s Open, ended at 32.

So who is the leader ? Not surprisingly yet another little South Korean,  22 year old Sei Young Kim has shot 72 then the low round of the day -7 65 to take a 2 shot lead into the weekend over two Americans, Morgan Pressel 67 72 -5 and then Brittany Lincicome 72 68, -4

Scotland's Catriona Matthew is also at -4 and there is a pack of seven at -3 including Stacy Lewis and defending champion Lexi Thompson

Kim, who earned her first career victory on the Tour earlier this season at the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic, finished with six birdies and an eagle.

Alena Sharp who says she had a bad week on the greens, but is happy with the way she is swinging, shot 73 and missed the cut at +5.
