Golf this week.. October 14

PGA Tour

The Frys.com has moved from Arizona to California. Mike Weir won it when it was the Frys Electronics Open in 2007.. He is off for the rest of the year rehabbing his elbow.

Canucks in the field are Graham DeLaet and Stephen Ames, who returns after a month off. This event is the 3rd of 5 in the Fall Series..

$5 million. Winner's share: $900,000.
Defending Champion: Troy Matteson beat Rickie Fowler and Jamie Lovemark with a birdie on the second hole of a playoff.

Blackhawk Country Club (6,185 yards, par 72).
$1.1 million. Winner's share: $165,000.
Defending Champion: Sweden's Sophie GustafsonThis tour will be in Asia the next three weeks, in Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.

There are 7 events left in the Race To Dubai.


NATIONWIDE Tour

This is the second last week before the Tour Championship, so a huge week for our Canucks, especially David Hearns and Jon Mills who are right in contention for the T25. ( see last post for standings)
