It's 4am here, 9.05am in Newport, Wales and Westwood and Stricker are off the first tee, playing in a patchy fog that has settled into the valley. The sun will soon burn through, but for these early matches it is a bit eerie.
A huge crowd has gathered and they are even cheering every practice swing the Euros make on the first tee.
I must comment on the amount of commercials NBC is running. Yesterday was ridiculous, and TSN who cannot play the same spots were hacking and chopping to keep up and this morning is no different..
