Europe leads 9 1/2 to 6 1/2 going into Monday's singles

After a dull damp rainy morning, the sun finally broke through and shone on the backs of Monty and his men at the 2010 course in Wales this afternoon.

In fact they won all but one match, the Molinari's caught Kucher and Cink on the 18th to put the topping on a wonderful day for the Euros.

Still there are 12 singles to go tomorrow in what is forecast to be partly cloudy weather, with no rain, and the speculation begins as to who will play when in those matches..

Session 3 Foursomes

L. Donald / L. Westwood vs.
S. Stricker / T. Woods  Wins 6 & 5

Recap .. Woods/ Stricker were down 5 and tried to hang in but had no chance in this one sided drubbing. With the world's numbers 1 and 2 ( Mickelson) playing so poorly it is clear that LeeWestwood (3) is playing like the number 1 right now.

G. McDowell / R. McIlroy vs.
Z. Johnson / H. Mahan  Wins 3 & 1

Recap : McDowell put it in close at 17 again today, this time Rory did not miss to beat a gutsy US pair
Session 3 Fourballs

P. Harrington / R. Fisher vs.
J. Furyk / D. Johnson  Wins 2 & 1

Recap.. Ross Fisher carried Paddy today making several clutch putts, and Dustin Johnson who along with Mickelson is having a dismal Ryder Cup couldn't help Furyk enough to win or halve.

P. Hanson / M. Jimenez vs.
B. Watson / J. Overton Wins 1up

Recap.. Overton provided NBC with their highlight of the day holing out for a 2 on the 8th then getting very vocal... you will hear the phrase he used  boom baby many times. However in a sloppy match,Jimenez made a couple of winning putts at 17 and 18 for the win

E. Molinari / F. Molinari vs.
S. Cink / M. Kuchar  Match halved

Recap  A good tight match, Cink was in trouble off the tee on 18 and in the end the Molinari's had a putt each for the half, Eduardo missed, Francesco didn't and they sent the 40,000 home happy.

I. Poulter / M. Kaymer vs.
P. Mickelson / R. Fowler Wins 2 & 1

Recap .. Mickelson hasn't won yet,his partner holed a bunker shot for an eagle but Poulter and Kaymer were always too good..

The singles start at 905am BST, 405am here tomorrow morning and I think this is going right down to the wire. If I were Monty with 3 clear points in the bag, I would hold back my big guns and try to get to 14 1/2 without them, so he would always have them back if needed.

You have to think Pavin can't wait and will have to go with who he deems as his best right away, which means Tiger and Phil ???  Not the way they are playing. Won't that be interesting..

I will post the match ups as soon as I get them.
