PGA Tour : Charles Schwab Challenge Leaderboard Tee Times
Early on Thursday at the Colonial Club in Fort Worth at this years 80th version of what is now the Charles Schwab Challenge, Canada's Mac Hughes was T1, a welcome position for this fine Canadian golfer who has been struggling with his form for two years now.

Just one late bogey when he caught a fairway bunker at the 7th, as he played the course backwards, was accompanied by 5 birdies in his -4 66 which finally settled at T19 just 2 shots off the log jam lead at -6

Ben Hogan's Colonial GC is a tough test when it is dry and firm, but as I mentioned yesterday after a lot of rain earlier in the week and very little wind it is is not like that so far.
As a result their was nothing to separate the 132 in attendance, excluding favoured Texans Scheffler and Spieth who are off, six are at -6, another 11 are at -5, the second most crowded in the history of the event.
Kim, McCarty, Hodges, Putnam, Spaun and Gerard share the lead, with Alex Smalley who was 2nd at the PGA Championship leading that - 5 pack a shot behind.
WEATHER: Round 1 was was delayed for 2 hours at 4.15pm local time with lightning in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area.
The rest of the week looks to be hot 33*c (93*f) and humid with gentle breezes, for now the bad weather is not expected until Monday.
**** With not much of the usual wind in the forecast to separate the field , it looks like the winner will not be decided until late Sunday at the earliest.
