""Ace" Ewart, Mac Hughes in contention at the Colonial GC... 36 hole results

PGA Tour : Charles Schwab Challenge  Leaderboard Tee Times

Two Canadians in contention at this Charles Schwab Challenge is a nice way to begin this report.

AJ Ewart with his PGA Tour card

AJ Ewart earned his PGA Tour card in 2025

AJ Ewart "aced" the 16th hole on his way to T9 70 63 -7, while Mac Hughes backed up his opening 66 with -3 67 T11 -7 as they head into the weekend just 3 shots off the lead.

Ewart from Coquitlam BC won the 2025  PGA Tour Q School to gain his playing status

Meanwhile another of the very successful arrivals from the top 10 on the DP World Tour Englishman, Jordan Smith with no familiarity on the Colonial GC has been in top form posting 65 65 -10 for a one shot lead.

However as we've seen so far, Colonial without the Texas wind is playing easier and the leaderboard remains packed.

At -9 Matsuyama, Gerard, Thorbjornsen and Harman, then at -8 five more, before you get to the Canadians at -7

CUT FELL -2

Sudarshan Yellamaraju 71 68 -1 MC

Adam Svensson 70 70 E  MC
