DP World Tour : Omega European Masters..Tee Times
40 years ago, Canada's Jerry Anderson became the first Canadian to win a European Tour events, setting a scoring record 63 66 66 66 -27 at the 1984 Ebel European Masters Swiss Open on the Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre that stood up for 19 years until Ernie Els beat it.

Born in Montreal, and living in Cambridge, he won about $48,000 for the win, during the best stretch of golf in his career, mainly in Canada and Europe. During a 4 week run he finished T9 Irish Open, T6 Benson & Hedges, 2nd at the German Open after a closing 63, before opening with 63 in Switzerland.
Canada's Aaron Cockerill would love some of that Anderson magic this week on the same course. He has missed his last 4 cuts but still is placed 46th in the Race to Dubai standings with the 2024 season winding down.
Staying in the top 50 is crucial as the big finishing events in Dubai arrive.
