PGA Tour Champions : US Senior Open Tee Times
The senior circuit, many of the stars you grew up watching are gathered for their US Senior Open this week at Sentry World in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
If you haven't been following them much anymore, guys like Steve Stricker who had a so so PGA Tour career has blossomed. In 13 events this year he has 3 wins and has been outside the top five only once, and recently broke Tiger Woods record with 53 consecutive rounds at even par or better. He has won the first two majors this year, going for a record 3rd in his home state.
Others like Paddy Harrington the defending champion, who won again last week with a 28 on his back nine, Steve Alker the unknown Kiwi who won Player of the Year on this tour, Paul Broadhurst the grinder from England and of course the ageless Bernhard Langer are amongst the top names these days.
Stephen Ames is another, he's found a real comfort zone with his old pals on this tour and is having one of his best year's in golf, currently ranked #2 in the Charles Schwab Cup money list with 3 wins in 10 events.
Mike Weir looking in great shape and remarried to a young Bachelorette is ranked #32 after 8 events and has had his moments this season.
Two other Canadians who don't play much on this tour, Alan McLean who was born in Glasgow and has lived in London, Ontario for years with his wife Laura, and Danny King from Toronto now 55 and has been a stalwart of the PGA of Canada have been invited to play.
