Adam Hadwin -3 69 T2 to lead the Canadians and the field after day one at Jack's Place, Muirfield Village.
He began with consecutive birdies at the first and second, but recovered nicely with a birdie at the par 5 5th, then got on a roll with 3 in a row, 9, 10 and 11 and added another at the 14th for a bogey free back nine 33 for the -3 69 to lead the Canadian contingent who struggled on this revamped Muirfield Village course where only 31 players broke par.
Jack Nicklaus ordered all of the greens dug up and replaced with bent grass, much like Muirfield links in Scotland where he won his first of 3 Open's in 1966.

Taylor Pendrith, Adam Svensson, Corey Conners all T93 after struggling to +5 77.
With 120 players in the field the cut will fall to the top 65 and ties, projected at +2.
The leader -5 67 is young American Davis Riley who has missed his last 4 cuts in a row. He won the Zurich Insurance team event earlier this year.
