USGA : US OPEN... Leaderboard
It all started with a layer of "Marine Mist" softening the LA Country Club leading to record breaking scores of -8 62 by Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele.
USGA officials on the Golf Channel were adamant that night, that they had a game plan and were confident when Mother Nature cooperated and the sun came out that the course would provide the stern test worthy of a US Open.
As it turned out the weather cleared, the course toughened and Wyndham Clark won with a final score of 64 67 69 70 270 -10.
His first major paid $3,600,000 and 600 FedEx Cup points along with his place in the history books.
Rory was 2nd 65 67 699 70 -9 $2.16m , Scottie Scheffler 3rd 67 68 68 70 -7 $1.4m, Cam Smith the Open champion who jumped ship to LIV 4th 69 67 71 67 -6 $990,687 and Tommy Fleetwood who lost the RBC Canadian Open in the playoff had the round of the day to finish T5 73 69 70 63 -5 $738,934

LPGA : Meijer LPGA Classic final scoreboard here
The leaderboard was tightly packed all week at this Meijer LPGA Classic in Belmont, Michigan but a Sunday 64 was enough to separate Ireland's Leona McGuire from the pack for her 2nd LPGA title at -21.($375,000) She had been the runner up the last 2 years.
Canadians
Brooke Henderson T42 69 73 69 69 -8 $11,853
another disappointing week for the Canadian who has won here twice. Her best finish since winning the limited field TOC in January has been T15.
Maddie Szeryk T66 68 73 74 72 -1 $5,359
after a promising opening round, Maddie soon fell back into the pack to finish near the bottom of the field.
