Bermuda Championship final leaderboard here
It was a good week in paradise for 3 Canadians on the Port Royal GC in Bermuda.
David Hearn had his best result since returning to play from the COVID break with rounds of 68 72 67 66 -11 he T8 4 shots behind surprise winner 48 year old Brian Gay 70 68 67 64 -15 who hadn't had a top 25 placing in 11 starts, and was winless since 2013.
Michael Gligic T11 68 71 69 66 -10 and Roger Sloan T16 67 70 71 68 -8.
Gay ended up in a playoff with Wyndham Clark, and beat him with a birdie on the first hole, the 18th. Gay has been plodding away with varying categories of exemption, with an eye on the Champions Tour.
However he is now fully exempt for 2 years, and has an invite into the Masters next year among other perks.
Next week many of the stars will return for the Houston Open before the Masters where a record 4 Canadians will play, Mike Weir, Nick Taylor, Corey Connors and Adam Hadwin.
