Corey Connors only made 1 bogey in his second round of 67, it was at the 18th, but didn't take the shine off two days work 69 67 -4 which sees him T4 just 3 shots off the lead 68 65 -7 held by American Sam Burns who is two shots clear of Jason Day and Carlos Ortiz at -5.
Mac Hughes will make the cut which won't be finalized until round 2 is completed this morning. He has shot 70 72 +2 T46. David Hearn had a tough week 73 77 +10 to miss the cut and Graham DeLaet I'm sorry to say, has had to withdraw to prevent any further injury to his back.
Francesco Molinari with 70 68 -2 will play the weekend on his long awaited return to the game after moving his family from their homes in London and Italy to California.
World #1 Dustin Johnson bounced back from opening 72 with a 66, also now at -2.
