Californian Max Homa won the Wells Fargo Championship for his first PGA Tour win and all the baubles that go with it including a cheque for $1.4m and that was about the best news for Canadian golf this weekend...Max toiled at times for several years on the old Canadian Tour after winning the NCAA championship in 2013. He only made two cuts on the PGA Tour 2 years ago, and was ranked as low as 1282 in the world.
