Good weekend for Canucks including Brook Henderson and Mac Hughes

Drew Nesbitt won on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica leading the charge of several Canadians over the weekend..Here are their stories and final scoreboard links.

Drew Nesbitt is from a little town in Ontario called Shanty Bay. He is their best golfer..by far. He posted a -10 62 on Sunday in Tijuana with 7 birdies and an eagle for his first PGA Tour Latinoamerica win. He'll be in the RBC Canadian Open upcoming in Hamilton.


LPGA Tour Pure Silk Championship final scoreboard https://www.lpga.com/leaderboard

Brooke Henderson posted her 6th top 10 this year at the Pure Silk Championship  with a bogey free -3 68 -15 total T2, just a couple of shots off the winning score -17 posted by England's Bronte Law the former UCLA star who led all the way.

Brooke will travel from Virginia up to Charleston S.C for next week's Women's US Open.

Mac Hughes was in the final pair with eventual winner Kevin Na (-13) on Sunday at the venerable  Colonial CC in Fort Worth, Texas. He shot +2 72 and tweeted 3 " Didn't have it today still a good week" as he T8 -5.

Corey Connors and Roger Sloan T31 +1, Ben Silverman T40 +2, Nick Taylor MC.

Maddie Szeryk is from London, Ontario and her final round 71 left her alone in 2nd place in Auburn, Alabama at -10 just 2 shots behind the winner from Spain Nuria Iturrios 71, -12.

James Allenby playing near home in British Columbia had a great week, finishing T2 at -19 after a final round of -1 71, also just 2 shots behind the winner, young American Jake Knapp (64)

American Scottie Scheffler beat Marcelo Rozo on the 2nd playoff hole to win the Evans Scholars Invitational, his first pro win.

Michael Gligic was right in contention after rounds of 65, 66 but shot -1 71 -13, T12 in Glenview Ill.
