Five Canadians make the cut in difficult winds at Charles Schwab Challenge

Swirling winds in the afternoon are no secret for locals in Fort Worth Texas, throw in the venerable Colonial CC and you have a good test of golf for this week's stop on the PGA Tour, now called the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Sweden's Jonas Blix add a brilliant iron display to his silky putting touch to post -6 64 and a one shot lead heading into this weekend. Favourite Tony Finau (68 -8 total) and Kevin Na (62 -8 total) are T2.

The cut fell at +2 and five Canucks made it including Mike Weir 71 +2 total and Corey Connors 73 +2 total.

Ben Silverman 71 is at E, Mac Hughes 70 is T14 -2 and Roger Sloan 72 is T11 at -3.

Justin Rose is the defending champion. The winds have made scoring tough. Stars like Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele and Rickie Fowler all missed the cut, while Paul Casey w/d with an ailing wrist.
