Of the 31 Canadians playing in yesterday's US Open qualifiers, there were several close calls, but just 2 managed to get through.
Mac Hughes shot 66, 67 in Memphis and NHL referee Garrett Rank an amateur from Elmira, T1 in Roswell Georgia, so they will be in the field along with Adam Hadwin representing Canada at Shinnecock Hills.
David Hearn lost his chance in a playoff, as did Corey Connors, who will be the first alternative from the Springfield CC group.
Ben Silverman lost out by a shot, while Wasaga Beach's Mark Hoffman will be the first alternative from the Canoe CC group in New Jersey.
