European Tour Italian Open leaderboard http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2018/tournamentid=2018046/leaderboard/index.html#/leaderboard
After winning the biggest event of his career last week, the BMW PGA Championship, Italy's Francesco Molinari has brought the same form to his country's national championship, the Italian Open in Brescia at the Gardagolf CC.
While Rafa Cabrera Bello (65 67) and resurgent northern Irishman Graeme McDowell (66 66) are the clubhouse leaders at -10, it is Francesco who is delighting his fans with round and opening 66, and so far he is -3 today playing his back nine at -8 total.
He is playing so well, he didn't make a bogey last week, and hasn't so far this week. He is always solid from tee to green, and as his older brother Eduardo says, "if Frankie could just putt a little better he'd be a super star"
Well he's putting well right now, and I expect him to be up with the leaders at the end of this round 2.
They are playing in sunny but breezy conditions in beautiful Brescia, a city in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy. It is situated at the foot of the Alps, a few kilometres from the lakes Garda and Iseo.
