Austin by the way is under a real security alert as there have been 4 bombings in the area over the past few days, but I am just hearing the suspect has been caught, shot and killed himself
There are 64 players from the top World golf rankings, Tiger is not playing, in 16 groups of 4 who will all play each other in match play to decide who goes through to the round of 16 knockout
Dustin Johnson (defending champion) returns to action as does Phil Mickelson and Justin Thomas joining Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm.
Adam Hadwin is in group 1 with Dustin Johnson, Brent Wiesberger and Kevin Kisner who he plays today.
I'm always asked to help fill out your brackets but I will say that all 64 of these guys can beat each other on any given day, the gap between 1 and 64 in this format narrows drastically. Some guys like Patrick Reed, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, all the Spaniards and others excel at match play, others do not.
At least over the last few years, it's not just 18 holes and out with the new round robin schedule ensuring every player gets 3 matches.
