WGC Mexico Championship leaderboard https://www.pgatour.com/competition/2018/wgc-mexico-championship/en/leaderboard.html
Golf fans in Asia and Europe know who Shubhankar Sharma is because he's won twice already on those tours this year, but on this side of the pond, and down in Mexico no less, he is playing for the first time on the PGA Tour, and at 21 years young finds himself leading this star studded WGC Mexico Championship going into this weekends play.
He has eagled the par 4, 1st hole both Thursday (65) and Friday (66) and at -11 has a two shot lead over Spaniards, Sergio Garcia (68,65), Rafa Cabrera Bello (66,67) and American Xander Schauffele who is bogey free so far, (65 68)
Big guns Dustin Johnson (69 66), Bubba Watson (69 66) are back at -7, Jordan Spieth (70 67) at -5 along with Phil Mickelson (69 68), Rickie Fowler and Jon Rahm are at -4.
Canada's Adam Hadwin (70 71) is T32 at -1 along with Justin Thomas.
Sharma ranked world #75 had a 61 65 weekend to win the JoBurg Open so he has game. We'll see how he holds up when the big guys start to apply the pressure that seems inevitable this weekend.
