The Atlantic coast of Portugal has long been a golfing holiday local for many northern Europeans including Britain but his week at the Oceanico Victorio GC in the Algarve, it's all business for the guys on the European tour looking for a late season win or to improve their Race to Dubai standings.
Andy Sullivan at 28 has had a career year and is looking for a third title after winning the The South African Open Championship and the Joburg Open earlier and he has opened up a 4 shot lead with a second straight -7 64, -14 total as the morning wave wrap up their rounds.
The Englishman had held a share of the lead overnight alongside Nicolas Colsaerts and he enjoyed the beautiful sunny morning along with Bernd Wiesberger 68 64 -10, Eduardo De La Riva 65 67 -10 and Tommy Fleetwood 69 64 -9.
The two Belgians, Colsaerts 64, and Thomas Pieters 65 are just starting their rounds and I must add there is bad weather in the forecast for the weekend, so we will see what mother nature has to say about the eventual outcome but for now little Andy Sullivan is home and dry with the lead.
