This 144th Open Championship will have a Monday finish, play got underway this morning after overnight rain softened the old course, and the wind has dropped for now, significantly, and the early scores are well under par as a result.
The average score this morning is 68.8 led by Aussie Mark Leishman who made par on his last 3 holes for 64 and he is in at -9.
Leaders Dustin Johnson -10 and Danny Willett -9 are off at 1500 hours or 10am est.
Other scores so far today. Jim Furyk 66 -6 total, Eddie Pepperell is -7 on his round thru 15, Rickie Fowler who won the Scottish Open last week shot 66 this morning, -7 total, amateur Ashley Chesters shot -5 67, -6 total.
David Duval, Jason Dufner, Hunter Mahan all shot 67. Graham DeLaet shot -4 68 and is currently T44.
