Good morning all as our heat wave continues here in southern Ontario, I haven't crawled under a rock to stay cool, just the opposite in fact, I could have picked better weather in install a deck and fencing and all the yard work that goes with it so my time here covering the game I love has taken a hit, so my apologies..
Here is my weekly look at where the action is and live scoring links for you.
By the way it's tough to knock a guy when he tries his best, David Hearn did all of that last weekend at Glen Abbey and I know he will take his 3rd place finish forward as he continues to build his self belief and confidence and eventually get that first win. Jason Day birdied the last three holes in a row to go out and be a worthy winner of our national championship.

This is the main event this week by far, at my favourite of the Scottish links courses, Turnberry on the Ayrshire coast (southwest) and play is well underway in round one, as Lydia Ko is the clubhouse leader, in with -6 66. The forecast as always is crucial on the links and it is overcast and breezy today and there is rain and more of the same scheduled all weekend. https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl#q=weather+forecast+for+turnberry+Scotland
Alena Sharp and Brooke Henderson are in the field.

The old guys have flown from Sunningdale, England, where Marco Dawson was the feel good winner of the Senior British Open last week, to Minnesota and the TPC of the Twin Cities where Kenny Perry is the defending champion. Rod Spittle and Stephen Ames have made the trip. Play starts tomorrow.

The usual combination of aspiring young guys, old guys hoping to get back to the show, or pad their money numbers for the senior circuit, and others who can still make a living playing at this level have travelled to Mormon country, Utah and the aptly named GC at Thanksgiving Point...
Canadian Brad Fritsch continues his year on this tour, as does Ted Brown who they have listed as an American.
