Weir's passport mix up compromises his play at Mayakoba..

First Weirsy gets the snub at Riviera, their two time champion not good enough apparently, then he gets an invite from the good people at Mayakoba, but you need a passport to get into Mexico. That's where his trouble began.

"UPS lost his passport in their Louisville depot (UPS systems were down so they couldn't track for several days). The passport should have gotten to Mike last week. The package was found on Wednesday at 2pm. Mike flew to Louisville to pick up the package, then flew to Cancun arriving almost at midnight." this from IMG.

So Mike gets to bed at 1am, up the next morning with no practice round or course familiarity, shoots 79, 78 to miss the cut along with Matt McQuillan who improved yesterday by 14 shots 82,68.

Now Mike definitely has other problems on the course, the worst of them being his balky driver, but this week's passport screw up certainly didn't help.

Meanwhile Stephen Ames is T14 and David Hearn T27. Here are their scores.

T14 3 84 Stephen Ames -3 F* -1 info 69 70 139
T27 18 71 David Hearn -1 F 2 info 68 73 141
CUT 208 Matt McQuillan 82 68 150
CUT 208 Mike Weir 79 78 157

There is a 3 way tie for the lead at this Mayakoba Golf Classic at -8. Bruce Summerhays, Will Claxton and Greg Owen.
