Delaet leads Canucks at Pebble Beach

Mike Weir started his return to the PGA tour in fine style. Playing the Monterey Pennisula GC starting on the back nine, he birdied the par 5 10th and then the par 3 11th. He went on to bogey the 14th out in -1 35, had a birdie and 2 bogeys on his back nine +1 35 Final score E 70 ,T89 with 26 putts and averaged just over 300 yds off the tee.  He plays Pebble Beach next

Graham Delaet was the star for Canada with a terrific -6 66 at Pebble, he plays Spyglass on Friday. Graham only had 1 bogey but 7 birdies, only 25 putts and starts Friday T7

Matt McQuillan playing Spyglass was very steady with 15 pars, 1 birdie and 2 bogey's. He has Monterey Peninsula next

The leaders are at -9. Charlie Wi just ate up Monterey with 7 birdies and an eagle on his way to 61, just 22 putts, Dustin Johnson who has won this event twice had 6 birdies 2 eagles and a bogey at Pebble Beach for a 63 and young Kiwi Danny Lee born in Seoul South Korea some 21 years ago had 5 birdies, 2 eagles all the rest pars at Pebble for his 63

Tiger if you didn't know already, had a steady if unspectacular -4 68 at Spyglass, birdied his first 2 holes 10 and 11 was out in 34, in at 34 had 6 birdies, 2 bogey's and was T16 in driving accuracy, however T102 in putting with 29. He plays Monterey next. He is T18..
