Evergreen Lorie Kane is in fine form at Royal Melbourne adding a 73 to her opening 72 for a -1 total. She has been striking the ball well, 23/30 fairways hit, and 29/36 greens in regulation, however she has 34,31 putts way too many on the tricky Royal Melbourne greens.
Sadly Rebecca Lee-Bentham and Stehanie Sherlock slipped after great starts. RLB opened with E73, shot 80 today but did qualify on the number at +7. She only hit 8/18 GIR and took 34 putts. Sherlock opened with a 74, shot 82 today to miss the cut by 3 shots.

With thunder storms and wind whipping around Melbourne, the course was all these women could handle today.
