The World Golf Hall of Fame houses only one Canadian, our most decorated, the great Marlene Streit. Today the PGA of Canada and their President, Kevin Thistle announced she has been awarded the George Cumming Distinguished Service Award.

Marlene is also a member of the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, and Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and will receive the award at the Virtual National Awards ceremony this Thursday at 7pm.
The Distinguished Service Award was created to honor outstanding individuals, as well as organizations, for their contributions and service to the game of golf and for inspiring others. Recipients are selected for their display of leadership, integrity, volunteering, sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the game of golf.
