It's summer down under and this week on the Australasian Tour it's what they hail as the oldest tournament in the world, the Australian PGA in South Queensland.
Looking through the field it's glory days are obviously gone when your headliners are Andrew "Beef" Johnson along with Aussie stalwarts Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith who finished 2nd last week as a team at the World Cup in Melbourne.
However there are 3 Canadians in the field. Aaron Cockerill, Austin Connelly who is a regular on the European Tour and Nick Taylor who decided to stay another week after pairing with Adam Hadwin to T4 last week in Melbourne.
Cockerill is a member of the European Tour this year because he made eight top 30 finishes on the MacKenzie Tour from 2017-18. He's 26 out of Winnipeg.
