Hadwin and Taylor strong finish T4 at ISPS Handa Melbourne World Cup

ISPS Handa Melbourne World Cup final scoreboard https://www.asiantour.com/newsdetails/isps-handa-melbourne-world-cup-of-golf-final-results-n52444

After opening on Thursday in a T23 out of 28 teams Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor climbed steadily up the leaderboard and after a sterling -6 66 in this morning's foursomes they have finished T4 -17 at this ISPS Handa Melbourne World Cup.

The two boyhood friends from Abbotsford, BC shot 68, 73, 64, 66 and earned $181,000 each. T4 with them were defending champions from Denmark Thorbjorn Olesen and Soren Kjeldsen.

Third round leaders Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry went on to win the cup for Belgium for the first time by shooting -4 68 -23. The win was worth $1.12m US per player.

That was 3 shots clear of hard charging Aussies Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith -7 63 -20 and the Mexicans Abraham Ancer and Roberto Diaz -6 66 -20

From my memory that's the best finish since 1985 for a Canadian team since Dave Barr and the late Dan Halldorson won in California.
