Great weekend for Cockerill in Kenya, Henderson T6 in Singapore.... final results..

DP World Tour: Magical Kenya Open final Results

Having lost his playing privileges on the European Tour, now the DP World Tour, Aaron Cockerill who is on the Challenge Tour this year, made the most of  his invitation to play this week at the Magical Kenya Open.

After opening with 70 he shot 68 67 67 to T2 and move up the DPWT rankings by 99 places, and collect his biggest cheque in over a year, 130,000 euros or $181,250.00 cdn.  He was right in contention with a pack at -12 chasing eventual winner Ashun Wu (65) from China who ended up the worthy winner at -16.

Cockerill made a crucial bogey at the 16th, but bravely bounced back with a 15 footer for birdie at the 17th, and with the short par 5 18th reachable in two he had a chance. However his iron off the tee was slightly mishit, found the fairway bunker and an eventual par 5.

He now qualifies for next week as the top 10 will play at My Golf Life Open Hartbeesspoort in South Africa.

LPGA: HSBC Women's World Championship final results here

You need 4 really good rounds to win any pro event, men or women and that was the case again this week in muggy Singapore at the HSBC Women's World Championship.

Brooke Henderson has has another terrific top 10 her 3rd in 4 starts, this time T6 with rounds of 69 68 71 and a -5 bogey free 67 today -13 total.

The winner was the great South Korean world #1, Jin Young Ko 69 67 69 66 -17. She set an all time record with15 rounds in the 60's, and 30 sub par.. It's her season debut and her 6th win in 10 starts.

That 71 on Saturday was just enough for Brooke to fall off the pace and eventually couldn't catch up.

Still a great week before heading to Thailand next week and she had this to say a afterwards.

"It was a great front nine I really had it rolling, the eagle at the 8th was fun. I had really good playing partners, all playing well so that made for a fun Sunday afternoon and gives us  good momentum going into next week.

I was really disappointed with how Saturday went, if I had of been a bit better today might have been a different story.

I've been hitting it well so far this year, if I can just make a few more putts I think the next win is just around the corner. It's been a  great 2022 so far."
