Presidents Cup: Saturday afternoon fourballs.. analysis.. live scoring

Presidents Cup scoreboard https://www.presidentscup.com/leaderboard.html

The International team were all but white washed this morning losing 3 1/2 to 1/2 so going into this afternoon fourballs they are getting whipped 11 1/2 to 2 1/2.

Here are the afternoon fourball matches. A point of interest the rules state that every player must play at least 2 full team matches, and that has affected the selections.

Not that it matters much with a 9 point lead, the USA could play most any pairing they want.

Match 1 : Louis Oosthuizen and Jason Day vs Jordan Spieth / Patrick Reed

Analysis : Did you know Jason Day is 0-6-2 in Presidents Cup matches ? Jordan and Patrick and all the rest of the Americans are just playing with house money now.

Match halved

Match 2: Jhonattan Vegas and Hideki Matsuyama vs Daniel Berger and Justin Thomas

Analysis: Vegas has played with some hutzpah for Nick Price, but Hideki told his captain that his timing is off.  Berger can't wait and he has the Player of the Year as his partner.

Point USA

Match 3: Anirban Lahiri and Si Woo Kim vs Charlie Hoffman and Kevin Chappell

Analysis: Well, Lahiri can only get better and Kim has only played 15 holes all week. Seasoned pros like Charlie and Kevin should see them off comfortably.

Point USA

Match 4: Marc Leishman and Branden Grace vs Dustin Johnson and Brooks Keopka

Analysis: DJ can get pretty complacent when his match doesn't matter, not saying he will. These are your last two US Open champions that Grace and Leishman have to face, but the US pair could well be playing to win the cup in this match.

Point USA..

Bryan's scorecard  USA 3 1/2  Internationals 1/2
