The runaway leader after two rounds at the McKayson NZ Women's Open is Spain’s Belen Mozo who earlier shot an -8 64 -14, to take a five-stroke lead heading into the weekend. She hasn’t won an LPGA event since she joined the tour 6 years ago.
Good news for Brooke Henderson who is T2 at -9 (65 70). She was T1 after the first round with her -7 65.
Other Canucks who have made the trip to New Zealand are Alena Sharp T69 72 73 +1 to stick around for the weekend while Maude Aimee-Leblanc 70 76, Lorie Kane 74 76, and Jennifer Ha 78 74, missed the cut.
Lydia Ko 70 68 -6 is 8 shots behind in front of a very partisan Kiwi crowd.
