Inbee Park back at #1 after winning Women's PGA Championship.. again

LPGA Tour KPMG Women's PGA Championship final scoreboard http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=lpga

Inbee Park went out like Bernhard Langer and lapped the field for her 3rd straight win of this Women's Players Championship shooting 71 68 66 68 -19, 5 shots clear of the field, knocking Lydia Ko out of the #1 spot in the world and tying Annika Sorenstam as the only golfer to win this event 3 times in a row.

She also moves ahead of Se Ri Pak as the South Korean with most majors at 6 while tying the LPGA Tour record for the lowest score in a major in relation to par at -19. She didn't make a bogey in her last 3 rounds.

As I said, rather like Bernhard Langer.. eh...

As for the rest of the field, Sei Young Kim three putted at the 9th for a double bogey ending any chance she had, finishing with a 71 -14 good for 2nd. Lexi Thompson was third at 12 under after a 66

Brittany Lincicome finished fourth at 11 under. She birdied the final hole for a 68.

Meanwhile Brooke Henderson T5 with Morgan Pressel at 10 under to earn $132,725 that will help earn a tour card for next year. She needs to either win a tournament or finish the 40th player on the money list to avoid qualifying school after being denied an age exemption.

Alena Sharp had a final round 76 T65th.
