With the issue of the latest world rankings and a few last minute phone calls, the final field for this years Accenture Match Play has been announced, the actual brackets won't come out until Monday morning at 7am based on the official world ranking that morning, and I'll have them for you.
Luke Donald beat Martin Kaymer in the final last year and remember the top 64 only get in, and in many cases get out in a hurry, it's a knockout tournament. The world's top 4, Luke, Lee, Rory and Martin are all in as is Tiger (18) who has won it 3 times...when he could really play.
That means of course no Canucks, David Hearn, is our best is at 239, and to show what a long road back Weirsy has he is now at #1054.
It is a truly WGC event with players arriving in Arizona from all over the world, here is the link to the final field which does not include Mickelson who has opted out, which means big Ernie Els gets in at #65.
