Canuck women miss the cut at Australian Masters

LIVE SCOREBOARD click here http://www.alpg.com.au/index.php?page_id=live_scores

Earlier this year when I contacted all of our pro golfers by twitter or Facebook to get info on their seasons. Jessica Shepley sent me a note to say she was off to Australia to start her 2012 campaign.

Well, 2 rounds of the Australian Ladies Masters on the Gold Coast are in the books and sadly all 3 of our women have missed the cut.

Lorie Kane of Charlottetown shot a74 and missed the cut by one stroke. Jessica missed by 2 after a 75 and Nancy Harvey of Swift Current, Sask.,shot 71 but missed by 3.

So Yeon Ryu, south Korea shot -11, 61 on Friday to take a four-stroke lead after two rounds at Royal Pines, is at -17, 66,61 127. That 61 tied the course record (Karrie Webb but won't count due to lift clean and place.)

Remember Lexi Thompson (16) winning last year. She is T9 67,70 137 and even younger Lydia Ko, the 14-year-old amateur from New Zealand is T18, 70,69 139.... amazing !!
