I talked about the changes to the Renaissance Club for this Scottish Open and I can tell you this manufactured "links" course near North Berwick is the scourge of many Scots, it's a flat farmland recently turned into a very expensive "links" unlike a true traditional North Berwick..

So last year in calm conditions Bernd Wiesberger stole a win after 3 playoff holes at -22...Tonight the leader at -9 62 is evergreen 47 year old Lee Westwood despite all the "toughening" up of the course..

It was a joy to watch today, 100' putts, chip and runs, pitches from the rough..good old Scottish golf despite the fake surroundings..

Tough weather, strong east wind moving in for the weekend...
