The lead at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi is at -13 heading into today's play, held by "the Fidget" Keegan Bradley (66 65)who hasn't had a top 10 since 2019. If you watch him play you'll know why I gave him the nickname, he is such a bundle of nerves. However he is putting well this week and says he's having fun.
Corey Connors birdied the last 2 holes for -2 70 T12 at-7, 6 shots behind. I note that Corey who is as good a ball striker as there is, is standing a little taller over his putts, and has gone cross handed like so many others to keep that face square and on line.
Both Roger Sloan( 67 71) and Michael Gligic (65 73) are at -6, David Hearn and Nick Taylor have missed the cut.
After the low scoring in the opening round, tour officials tucked the pins on Friday making the course much more difficult, and scores reflected that, Taylor had 77 and Hearn 74 for example.
The cut fell at -3. Do you remember Kevin Stadler? His dad is the "walrus" Craig Stadler. Kevin hasn't been playing so well these days, and shot 80,78 +16 this week to finish dead last.
The weather will continue warm and sunny with barely a breeze all weekend.
