While Ted Potter garnered all the headlines with his life changing win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro/Am, the other pro's and their amateur partners were chasing their own championship.
In the end it was Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald playing with Kevin Streelman who walked away with the title.
In fact they won by four strokes, and Fitzgerald as an amateur, received the crystal trophy while Streelman won $10,000.
Fitzgerald plays off a 13 handicap at Whisper Rock GC in Scottsdale and in a twist of fate Streelman is a former Whisper Rock caddie
Fitzgerald is the first pro athlete since Dan Marino in 1988 to win at Pebble Beach and only five others have won including 49ers QB, John Brodie (1970); Jacky Lee (1975); and George Brett (1987).
Streelman who hasn't won in over 3 years and finished T6th, wrapped up their great week like this. “He played great today, and this was special. We’ll remember this for a long time.”
